Dr saw thickening of uterine lining 5 mos. ago. had recheck ultrasound & lining is 9 mm with fluid. having biopsy & really scared it's cancer. ?

Its possible: 14% of patients who present with postmenopausal bleeding will have endometrial cancer so an endometrial biopsy is warranted. The most recent recommendation is that a thickness of <3mm be used as the cutoff for excluding endometrial cancer. Of course, with your being 9mm, evaluation is absolutely necessary. However, there is no need for panic. There is an 86% chance that your biopsy will be benign.
