Does skin cancer usually feel hot after you itch it? i have a red dry patch on my ear for a couple days,and i get eczema. should i go to derm or wait?

It is not skin cance: Skin Cancer does not itch or feel hot. The patch on your ear is more likely to be a symptom of eczema if you have had that problem before. It is not necessary to go to your derm unless this problem is getting bigger or worse after another week of waiting and watching.

Scaly rash: If you have a red scaly rash, it should be scraped for a KOH test to rule out a tinea infection (fungus). You should visit a dermatologist.The dermatologist will do a full exam and rule out other conditions that look like eczema such as tinea, psoriasis, lichen planus, and other conditions.
