Hearts beating harder and slower than usual. can feel it more lately? what could cause this? thanks

Your question is a: little more unusual than the standard palpitations question: often when one's heart seems to be beating more forcefully it is also more rapid.It brings to mind that your heart rhythm may have slowed and you are having some intermittent ventricular premature contractions/beats (VPC's).This can be due to anxiety, stress, caffeine, etc. I think it deserves a holter/24 hr ECG monitor to see what's up.
