Get checked out: though your age and lifestyle make heart disease unlikely (you really should quit smoking!!!) I would get things checked out my a primary care doctor or provider. Most likely it is a nerve issue, but this is not something you want to guess on!

Comments: You describe a pain pattern which would raise concern about cardiac pain, but your youth (age 24), would suggest this is from a different cause. One could also consider thoracic outlet syndrome, pectoralis minor syndrome, cervical radiculopathy. See your doctor, get some testing, especially ECG, and get this addressed.
