HIDA scan: The HIDA scan can help measure the estimated ejection fraction of the gallbladder. Typically a normal ejection fraction is greater than 35%. Since yours is borderline low, and you are having regular symptoms, it is possible that a surgeon will agree that you should undergo cholecystectomy. I would definitely go for an opinion. Good luck.
