My 5 y/o has had one very large tonsil. no pain. ent says it's nothing to worry about. is this normal/true? should i get a second opinion? thank you!!

Yes can get: But the answer will be same , couple of decades ago tonsillectomy is the procedure of choice , no longer is ,with better antibiotics and concepts. Just because enlarged don't have to be removed in the absence of symptoms , besides risk due to procedure they also play a important roll in immunity .
