MELD score: The MELD score is a tool to help determine liver disease severity. Although there are other factors to consider, including the cause of the liver disease and the acuity of the symptoms, your MELD score of 18 would suggest a 6% mortality rate at three months. You cannot estimate the % of liver remaining from this score. You may want to ask your doctor if transplantation is possible. Good luck.
