A member asked:

Hsv2 igg value of 2.06. could this be an indication of infection at 4 weeks, or sometime in the past?

Maybe false positive: With the most common HSV test (HerpeSelect), an HSV2 index value over 1.1 is technically positive, but many results 1.1 - 3.5 are false. This could be a new infection at 4 weeks, in which case a repeat test in a few weeks will give a higher number -- but probably not if you had no symptoms. If repeat test is also under 3.5, you'll need a confirmatory test such as Western blot.
