Diagnosing lymphoma: A palpable node next to an infected ear can be due to inflammation or infection, or simply be benign. Diagnosis of lymphoma centers around presence of other findings , usually symptoms or other abnormal blood tests and if suspicious enough, a biopsy to confirm would be most helpful.
