A member asked:

Verified small central eardrum perf on monday.feels like water trapped in inner ear so have muffled hearing.safest way to get water out with perf? was told no drops, blowing air in didnt work, please help.feel underwater.closest ent appt 20 days out?

Small perforations usually heal on their own. Use cotton plugs in the ear when bathing to prevent water from getting in. If you do not have an active infection, waiting 20 days will not do any damage. If you have purulent discharge, you could go to an emergency department for topical treatment/drops.
