PCOS: http://womenshealth.gov/publications/our-publications/fact-sheet/polycystic-ovary-syndrome.html PCOS is usually not cured but managed. Irregularity of periods can reverse as getting pregnant is an issue if irregular. Losing weight is very helpful with respect to insulin resistance which is a component of the condition. A repeat ultrasound could document if there are still multiple cysts
