If you haven't: already done so, take him/her to his/her pediatrician to make sure that nothing physical is wrong (ear infection/teething). If you've done that already, then it would be important to not have him/her continue this habit. A one year old should be able to eat enough during the day and not need to eat in the middle of the night. So hopefully, this is just temporary,& could be a growth spurt.
