A member asked:

29 y/o male, being treated for hbp. have severe stress and chronic anxiety. should i have angiogram? worried about stress test cuz bedridden for a yea

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: It would be malpractice to perform an invasive test with a small risk of serious consequences without a valid indication. The risk of dying from a heart cath, as low as it is, is 100 times higher than a stress test (0.1% versus 0.001%).
