A member asked:

If a percentage could be assigned, how accurate are coronary angiograms and nuclear stress tests? strengths and weaknesses of both?

Gold standard: Nuclear stress tests in experienced hands have a sensitivity of 80-85% and specificity around 90%. If done with exercise (as opposed to pharmacological), the sensitivity and specificity are a bit better, worse without exercise. Angiograms are the gold standard and rarely miss significant disease - accuracy is 99%. Angios are invasive with mortality of 0.1% Mortality w stress is .01%.
