A member asked:

I had a ruptured ovarian cyst w/ bleeding 3 wks ago. the us, ct, lapar only showed free fluid and ruptured cyst. the pain is on/off, achy/tugging, and worse when lying flat. located between navel and rt hip. is this more consistent w/ cyst or ibs-c?

Ruptured cysts or IB: If your pain persisted you should make app with your Gyn to rule out ruptured ovarian cysts simple or harmorrhagic or endometric or tumor origin vs IBS or other GI origin especially if pain over 5/10 in intensity Good Luck

I think it is still: within the time frame to be residual effects from a ruptured ovarian cyst. The free fluid in the peritoneal cavity can take some time to resolve and can be mildly irritating. But it should continue to improve and disappear. You don't mention bowel function symptoms such as constipation but if those are present, perhaps you DO also have IBS. Time will tell, I believe. Consider doctor recheck.
