How to determine if i have cancer?

Depends on type...: Diagnosing a malignant disease (cancer) is usually based on sampling blood, cells, or tissues from the involved body part. These tests vary depending upon the type of cancer. Lung cancer and breast cancer are two common types of cancer. Diagnosing one of these usually starts with physical examination followed by imaging studies and then a tissue biopsy of some type. Hope that this helps.

PET/CT: Fdg pet/ct is an imaging test often used in oncology to localize and stage cancer. Pet scan is not the first step in workup but can be helpful in certain scenarios. Usually workup begins with history and physical and laboratory testing.
