Metronidazole: It is only by prescription and is not similar to Monistat.They treat different conditions. Monistat is for yeast and Metronidazole for trichimonis

No and No!: Sorry, metronidazole is available by prescription only. Monistat is not the same and does not treat bacterial infections, only yeast infections. If the reason you don't wish to see a doc is money, consider going to your local health department for treatment, this sort of thing is right up their alley!

Rx only: You cannot get metronidazole OTC. Monistat is not the same thing. Monistat is for treating yeast infections; metronidazole is for treating bacterial vaginosis (and other infections)
