Get rechecked: If you are still symptomatic after H. pylori rx, get retested with a breath test off of antibiotics & acid suppression therapy.

Tricky: gastritis is a very common condition. Generally, no cause is found (scoping normal, no h pylori) AND proton pump inhibitors still work in this context far better than a fake pill. Generally, tests would be done at 1-2 mo afer therapy to verify h pylori has stayed away after treatmetn.
