Huh??: Anything that has been there for ten (!) years is clearly not acute, by definition. Why don't you ask your doc to take a hands on "look see" and tell you what he thinks it is. Good luck.

Lumps need removal: Any lump in the body deserves medical evaluation to find out what it is. Most are benign, painless and do not grow. These may be harmless and can be left alone. Those lumps which cause symptoms... like pain, can be and should be removed. You should seek medical attention so that your doctor can remove this lump. OTHERWISE IT WILL CAUSE MORE TROUBLE IN THE FUTURE.
