Post Extraction Aids: Good day, For 24-48 hrs. after extraction of wisdom teeth you want to prevent a dry socket from occurring. Don't rinse or suck on a straw or aggressively blow your nose-- dry sockets are a pain in the tooth!!

After 72 hours: Do not rinse vigorously, suck on straws, smoke, or brush teeth next to the extraction site for 72. It is very important not to disturb or dislodge the clot as it aids healing.
