ANUG and HIV: is the acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis (ANUG), but with more intense bleeding and pain may be seen in necrotizing periodontitis in HIV/AIDS patient. Antimicrobial treatment is recommended. See oral pathologist for diagnosis and management.
