Hard to say: It is hard to say without directly seeing it. The nail grows in part from the nail bed and so if the nail bed was injured, it may produce an abnormal shape to the nail. Consider being seen and thoroughly evaluated.

The root of it.: When nails come off, they often grow back with some change in shape. What ever caused the nail to come off, may have damaged or stunted the nail root. The stunting has caused the nail to thicken or bump up. It is hard to predict how things will turn out. Seeing a foot specialist, can offer you a better evaluation and more accurate prognosis. A toe x-ray may be needed to check for bone damage.
