Depends on factors: How much drug should be used depends on age, weight, symptoms, duration of use, etc... In the U.S., we have Nexium (esomeprazole), where the recommended dose for a 24-lb toddler is about 10 mg each day, for short-term use. Not sure if Losec (omeprazole) is approved for infants or toddlers in the U.S., but studies in adults suggest that the two drugs can be used in similar doses in adults.
