Try another med: propranolol although is effective but it's obviously not quite helpful for you with low hear rate and BP. i am assuming you 40mg /day is short acting so it is a bit defeating the purpose as you need medication to stay in your system 24/7. perhaps it would not be a bad ideal to explore other options - which are many for prophylactic. always communicate with your doctor. Best luck

Consider 60mg: Would consider long acting propranolol at 60mg a day. Will have medication in your system all day but with a lower dose overall. You may also supplement with 10-20 mg short acting propranolol every 8-12 hrs as needed with less feelings of sluggishness, low bp and low heart rate

Side effects of Prop: You are having Sinus Bradycardia and Hypotension and feeling sluggish. These are all side effects of the Propranolol.I don't know why your dose was increased. Was it because it was not effective in preventing Migraine Attacks I suggest you discuss with your Doctor as there are many other options available in therapy to prevent Migraine Attacks. Verapamil Depakote Topamax Other Beta Blockers Trcyclic
