Yes, propranolol is an excellent preventative drug for migraines. Usually you start with a low dose such as 10mg and see how you tolerate it. It will slow your heart rate and lower your blood pressure a bit. If we’ll tolerated, the dose is titrated up. Ask your physician for their advice and a script.

Yes propranolol does work if you can stand the nasty side effects which can be severe. I prefer OTC’s such as butterbur, feverfew, riboflavin, Co-Q-10, magnesium
