I had a ca-125 done for ovarian cysts (10.5cm and 4cm) test came back 190. had another test weeks later and new u/s. cyst is now 8.4 and ca-125 is 110. is this even possible? cysts are hypoechoic cystic lesions possibly endometriomas & endometriosis.

D/W your GYN: Endometriomas can elevate CA125 levels, it is good that the cyst and level of CA 125 are going down, but still needs to be monitored closely

CA-125 testing: CA- 125 testing is notoriously inaccurate when it comes to testing for ovarian cancer especially when endometriosis is a part of the equation. IF there is continued concern most MD's will take a "look/see" with the laparoscope and confirm a definitive diagnosis.
