Diabetes & yeast: Diabetes mellitus often causes yeast vulvo vaginal infections in its' patients on a repetitive basis. Urinary tract infections are caused by bacteria, you are correct, but if the urine flows over a vulva with a yeast infection present, it will burn and be irritated.
