Osteoarthritis: What joint or joints r affected? If u received an injection into the joint the length of time of efficacy varies from a few weeks to a few months. Try ice, limit activities that increase pain or swelling , stay on alleve two pills twice a day for 3-4 weeks , purchase a brace or sleeve if u r having problems with knees or ankles.
