i have a sharp pain in back right behind my rib cage shoulder blade area, doesn't hurt to breath but hurts to cough or move in certain directions?

Need more info: I will need more info re this pain. How long present? Did you injure yourself in any way, lifting, stumbling, carry a heavy weight, etc?? You may have partially moved a rib out of place, but that is only one possibility. Does the pain respond to ice application? Heat? If it persists, should be checked by physician.
