It is still healing: While it is unlikely that you experienced a fracture (getting an x-ray at the time would probably have been a good idea) you probably strained the ligaments and supporting wrist muscles. It is typical for certain movements to be well-tolerated sooner than others in the healing process; which ones sooner vs later is not predictable. Entire healing process could take 6+ months. Scaphoid/wrist fx?: 22 year old gentleman with history of fall onto wrist with significant pain,now persists with flexion/extension 8 weeks later. You may have fractured your distal radius, ulna, or a carpal bone such as your scaphoid bone. With motion at the fracture or nonunion site, pain will persist. X-rays including a scaphoid view are indicated. If fx present definitive reduction/rigid fixation may be necessary
