I'm pregnant needing a root canal dentist said he would use septocaine and ob said no to use lidocaine( with epinephrine ) instead which is safer?

Communicate: This is a conversation that the Endodontist (root canal specialist) and the OBGyn should be having with each other. You should not have to be the go-between. Please ask them to talk to each other.

Safety First: I don't feel that either medicine would interfere with your unborn baby's health. I feel that Lidocaine with epinephrine would probably last longer (which is good for root canal) However, your endodontist is an expert in controlling pain. They will take care of you, best.
