Yes: If you are healthy and you are enjoying a normal pregnancy there is no reason not to have the root canal therapy. The removal of infection from your mouth will benefit both you and your baby.

Yes: Yes , best to get treated if there is infection. See the Endodontist - root canal specialist- for most efficient and best treatment. Request 3% carbocaine if possible, as it has no vasoconstrictor (typically epinephrine in most anesthetics). Wait until in your 2nd trimester (very soon) because this is primarily a growth period rather than a developmental period. Good Luck.
