A member asked:

Is there a way to differentiate migraine with aura and multiple sclerosis by looking at symptoms rather than just the results from various tests?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, mainly duration: Migraine symptoms (aura, pulsating or throbbing headache, sensitivity to light, vomiting, blurred vision) last 24 to 72 hours, or few days, multiple sclerosis symptoms (limbs numbness/weakness, vision loss, unsteady gait, slurred speech, bladder and bowel problems, dizziness, tingling) follow a relapsing/remitting course and last for weeks. Migraine drugs don't improve MS symptoms. Take care.
