Go to your dentist: I'm not a denist, but it is never advisable to neglect your oral health. Abscesses in your mouth can shower bacteria to your heart causing endocarditis. You may need a root canal to save your tooth. Loss of teeth not only makes it difficult to chew but cosmetically loss of teeth is not attractive and my affect you love life. Go see your dentist right away.

YES!: Just because you can't detect pus does not mean that the infection disappeared. And you can have a major acute flare up at any time. Chronic infections leak bacteria into your surrounding tissues, damaging bone, adjacent teeth, circulatory system, kidneys, lymphatic system, heart valves, liver, etc. your chronic infection will not heal. Please see a Dentist IMMEDIATELY.

Why are you waiting?: You are about four months late in making a dental appointment. The abscess will not resolve on its own. Please call a dentist for an appointment ASAP. Infections can spread causing problems throughout your body.
