Okay if not worse: The pus ball is an abscess, likely a gum abscess. If it is very painful or getting larger it might be better to have your dentist lance it and drain it. If it's not too painful then the antibiotics should be fine. Gargling with salt water will help. Hopefully you aren't in too much pain.

Abscess: An abscess indicates severe infection. Pills will not cure infection, but will minimize spread of infection until they run out. Removal of the infected portion of the tooth, or the tooth itself, is required. Please see Dentist, specialist Endodontist, or specialist Oral Surgeon before antibiotic runs out.
