Both: I recommend visiting your doctor to make sure you are ready for your exercise program. Wake up and stretch, go for a jog each morning. Eat a small amount before you go and have breakfast after. Combine weight training because over time with increased muscle mass your body burns more calories. Most importantly, eat a healthy low-fat low-sodium diet. Good luck. Slow and steady is the best plan.
