Not plastic surgery.: Plastic cuts on the bottom of the foot can be rather nasty and are often times quite painful. Just how long the foot will be painful is unpredictable. The real concern is to verify that there are no plastic pieces still lodged in the wound. These could account for increased and sustained pain as well as delayed healing. Delayed healing leads to infection. To remove all doubt, have it evaluated.
