Hi, i recently had my dose of sertraline increased from 200mg to 250mg. coincidentally i have just come on my period a week early. i take cilest and have done so for 15 years. is it possible the increased dose could have affected my cycle? i am not due

It is very unlikely: Increase of Sertaline dose from 200 to 250 is very very unlikely to affect your periods if there was no effect on periods with 200 mgm.50 mgm increase will not cause change in menstruation.I hope you are under care of a Psychiatrist as 250 mgm dose is rather high.But some psychiatrists do use that dose I have seen

Medication effects: Zoloft (sertraline) can cause menstrual irregularities, 250mg is very high dose for maintenance of Depression. Cilest (Birth Control pill) can cause spotting and bleeding throughout your cycle.
