My anxiety and depression get worse 7d before period starts. my counselor asks me to take 25mg zoloft (sertraline) only once 7d before period. is that normal?

No: This is not an approved use of Zoloft (sertraline) and other than increasing the expense of your treatment has no evidentiary value for the treatment of PMDD. The dose and use is too little for any effectiveness outside of placebo. Unless you are taking this medicine daily in a therapeutic dose I would not expect a positive outcome.
