What is colitis.i was diagnosed w/ but go no explanation . i do know that when i have a change in bowel movements to soft stools it occurs.

Colitis.: Colitis is a term that describes inflammation of the large intestines. This could be infectious or inflammatory in nature. Usually diagnosed with blood testing, CT scan and then a colonoscopy with a biopsy which would identify the specific type of colitis.
