A member asked:

Is "soft" stool and frequent bowel movement common with colitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not always: If you have symptoms such as bloody stools or urge to go but nothing happens, or abdominal pain, or weight loss, then I'd be more suspicious for colitis. Nevertheless it would be a good idea to get your stool tested for inflammation and infection.
