Neurologic or Muscle: How many years have you had type one diabetes? What is your a1c? How has your control been over the years? I see you have high blood pressure and take Hydrochlorothiazide? When was your potassium last checked? Low potassium is a side effect of Hydrochlorothiazide and can cause cramping like this. Definitely see your doc and have K+ (Potassium) checked
