CBCT vs. MRI imaging: allows a TMJ specialist to look inside your TMJ joints without performing surgery. The MRI views of soft tissues, doesn't give the specialist as detailed a picture as necessary of bone structure; and this is exactly what's needed to diagnose TMJ disease and plan the proper treatment. Hope it helps.

Jaw clicking: Clicking of the jaw joints is a classical symptom of Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD) commonly referred to as "TMJ". Most dentists as well as Orthodontists and Oral Surgeons can usually diagnose this on a clinical exam. It results from an articular disc getting displaced. X-rays and MRI are used to document, confirm or diagnose degree of dysfunction.
