Anxiety Disorders : may cause a subjective feeling of weakness. Patients with Conversion Disorder can have paralysis & other neurological symproms in the absence of medical disease. Objective neurological findings of decreased muscle tone/strength require investigation for problems in the Central Nervous System, at the junction of peripheral nerves & muscles, in muscles themselves &/or from a systemic illness.
