Depends: It depends upon how excessive. Water in the southwestern part of the country had too much Fluoride in it for many years and the only thing noted was that the teeth were stained. Normally, the amount of Fluoride put in the water is not that high and there is no harm done. I expect there may be other opinions...

This is a myth.: Excess Fluoride is not being "dumped" in americ's water supply. This is a myth generated by fear mongers and is not backed up by facts and/or science. Long term ingestion of high amounts of Fluoride is harmful. This is the also true for water, iron, and vit c, all substances our bodies need. The small amounts of Fluoride added to water supplies only helps prevent tooth decay.
