When you are in remission from chron's disease, do you have negative colonoscopies/endoscopes?

Yes and no: Surveillance endoscopy is done to evaluate remission and treatment effectiveness. The goal is no active inflammation, but one can usually see scarring from previous disease activity, so the endoscopy is not ENTIRELY negative/normal. Also, while the intestinal surface appears healed, there may be microscopic activity determined by biopsy. Your gastroenterologist can help interpret these results.
