A member asked:

I'm a male in my mid 30s and i have a history of prostate cancer in my family, is it too late for me to father children?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Ability to procreate depends on production of functional sperm which can be checked for. Functional activity in inducing pregnancy extends into late 70's. History of prostate Ca in family is of little concern other than to periodically check prostate. Probable cause of this tumor is the MMTV virus which also causes breast Ca. Men whose wives have breast Ca have high rate of prostate Ca.
