Myth: There are many such associations passed by word of mouth. You also don't go blind, don't become infertile, etc. Many cultures find this normal area of sexuality something to discourage and such myths are part of the effort.

No: That is just a lie. I am sorry someone troubled you with this nonsense. If this comes from a "spiritual advisor" or "health guide", draw the obvious conclusion and move on to something healthier.

How can you get bladder cancer if you're constantly urinating?

Dr. Simon Kimm

In other ways.: The development of bladder cancer has little to do with the frequency of urination. It has everything to do with changes to the lining of the bladder, mostly due to exposure to toxins in the urine, such as from cigarette smoke & industrial chemicals. Inherited genetic factors play a role as well. For those that have developed bladder cancer, one of the symptoms can be frequent urination.

It depends: Results depend upon the stage of cancer. It is active for the adjuvant treatment and in metastatic disease. The side effects can include nausea and diarrhea. Occasionally there can be some blood count issues. The other side effect can be cold related temporary nerve injury that lasts a very short time. There also is a more long term nerve injury. Most people do tolerate this well. Hope this helps.

What are some acne treatments for teens besides proactive?

Dr. Ed Friedlander
Pathology 44 years experience
Ones that work: Being a teen is hard enough without acne, and a teen has a right to something that works better than slick-packaged benzoyl peroxide. I start teens on topical Clindamycin with or without retinoic acid, and move to stronger stuff, including a systemic antibiotic, if it fails. For the really hard cases, dermatologist have the big guns. Junior deserves the best. Good luck.
