As soon as...: As soon as you want to go back to killing yourself. Each cigarette is 7 minutes off your life. And cancer of throat/lips/jaws/lungs/liver/brain, along w heart attack/stroke/emphysema/COPD/skin damage/capillary damage, is at best horrible, at worst fatal. Don't smoke for at least a week, but the longer you go, the faster you will heal, the less chance of dry socket.

Depends: Depends but in general you can do as you wish and at your own risk. Smoking will hamper your healing and possibly cause you more pain than normal so I would advise not smoking for at least 48hrs to help ensure a proper clot is formed.
