Would not advise it: Smoking following the removal of a tooth can result in a dry socket or alveolitis, where the blood clot is disrupted or dislodged resulting in some level of discomfort and a foul taste.

Not recommended: Smoking causes: reduces blood flow to your gums and promote bacteria which can delay the healing after a surgery, and even cause serious complications. The best thing you can do for your teeth, mouth and health is to quit using tobacco.
